Orange sticker and orange hair

I'm too tired to even go into my day today. It's been stressful with my oldest being home from school because of being sick (again) this weekend. Barring anything happening tonight, she'll be back tomorrow. (Yay!) It's always the worst when they feel absolutely fine and have nothing wrong with them (she had a fever less than 24 hours before school started and I'm one of those (yes, neurotic) parents--few it seems at times--who actually abides by the rules and keeps my child home in cases such as these to protect the children of others parents who don't abide by the rules). Don't EVEN get me started on "perfect attendance" policies. Not if you expect me to keep my language clean tonight. *sigh* It's been a long day.

So anyway, like I said, I won't go into my day. Not too much. Not too much about how I finally took a break to wash my face this a.m. while my oldest was outside playing and stop the running water only to hear more running water. I thought so. So I head into the other bathroom half dressed seeing tracks of mud from my room through the hallway and discover her with her feet under running water in the tub, now filled with mud and clogging fast, trying to clean her sandals off.

I just wanted to say that about 30 minutes after running wildly outside to catch the mailman with a last-minute-I-realized-it's-due-now bill when I hear him outside, I finally take a break to use the bathroom and look in the mirror and to my horror I have a bright orange sticker smack dab in the middle of my cheek. No wonder he looked at me funny. Thanks to my oldest, who had lovingingly dabbed the sticker on my cheek after my third attempt to take it off while I was on the phone earlier that day. "This is to remind you of oranges," she said, then ran off to demolish the house.

I'm getting off now, to dig out the three inches of paper from my 14-month-old's mouth. Her orange (actually, really red) hair must do something to make her want to eat absolutely everything.

I'll try to post the yogurt instructions tomorrow. For you, Meredith! :)
