I'M tired!

My oldest never ceases to amaze me! She started back to preschool yesterday and really made me laugh last night. It doesn't matter how tired I am (and I'm always exhausted!), she rarely lets me take a nap. Sometimes she'll even be still and quiet for just enough minutes for me to doze off and then she'll wake me up. Last night she was pretty tired and we'd put her to bed a few minutes before I started making her lunch. I decided to check and make sure the sandwich I was making would be okay. I called her name softly to make sure she wasn't asleep and she answered right away. Here's our conversation, verbatim:

"Do you want a colby-jack cheese sandwich tomorrow?"

"Yes. And I want sweet green apple slices and yogurt with it."

"I don't have any yogurt made right now." (I make our own organic yogurt -- it's so much cheaper!)

"Well you can --"

"No, even if I make some more tonight then it won't be ready to put in your lunch in the morning. I'll make some tomorrow night."

"Okay, Mommy, but I can't talk anymore. I'm really tired and I need my rest for school tomorrow."

Unbelievable!
