Halloween grinch!

I'm sorry, but I hate Halloween. I'll be glad when it's over. I love the fall time, and I think kids dressing up in cute costumes is fun for them and parents, and is a great imagination booster. But why, WHY all the spooky, ghoulish downright scary stuff? I love pumpkins, fallen leaves and trees that change colors. You know, harvest themes. I love cute costumes. But I HATE all this other stuff. It's just awful. I'm constantly having to cover my daughter's eyes in the stores or make long detours through the stores to prevent her from seeing all this gross stuff. Then I turn on the tv for her for a little while (TV shows are VERY monitored!) and the channels, like Noggin, that I usually think are safe just aren't around this time. Even though they're trying to make it less spooky for the little ones, they're still showing characters dressed in weird or scary costumes and playing spooky little songs.
Okay, enough. I'm ready for Thanksgiving. And winter holidays. I love winter holidays!
